BEACHES
Don't miss Schinoussa which is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Lesser Cyclades.
Schinoussa is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Lesser Cyclades and beyond. They can all be reached on foot in a maximum of 40 minutes from Chora (easy walk).
Tsigouri is the closest beach to Chora. A long sandy bay, it is sometimes a little exposed to the wind, but very pleasant. Shaded by tall tamarisk trees, it also has a beach bar.
Livadi, on the other side of a cape that separates it from Tsigouri, is another large sandy bay that offers much the same advantages as its neighbor. Here you'll find shade (large tamarisk trees) and a pleasant tavern.
Almiros, on the opposite coast, is made up of two successive beaches of unique beauty. Wild and sandy, with turquoise waters and a shallow seabed. Exposed, waves can build up on certain days. They are shaded in places by tall tamarisk trees.
Lioliou is the last beach on the southern tip. Shallow for many meters, it resembles a lagoon. Popular with families for its long stretch of sand, tamarisk trees, shallow waters and tavern. To the right of the beach, a path leads to more private coves.
The small beach of Kambos, opposite Lioliou, offers no shade and deep water. Heading north along the hillside and fields, you'll find several small, wild, sandy coves that are seldom visited.
Psili Ammos, on the northeast coast, is a paradise of fine sand. Wild, the beach seems to be at the end of the world, guarded by a few giant tamarisk trees.
