CAPITAINERIE DU PORT

Very focused on the other islands of the Dodécanese, Astypalaia offers little connections with them. It is finally more accessible from the Cyclades (Amorgos, Donoussa, Naxos). On the other hand, for a short stay, it is better to prefer an air travel so as not to waste too much time at sea, because the island does not offer any hydrofoil bonds.

Athens-Astypalaia. Almost every day a ferry liaises with Le Piraeus (8-10 hours of crossing).

Links with the other islands. Some boats from Athens serve only the Dodecese (Astypalaia, Kalymnos, Kos, Nysiros, Tilos and Rhodes), others pass through Cyclades (Syros, Paros, Naxos, Donoussa, Amorgos and Astypalaia).

Links with Kalymnos. The local boat Nissos Kalymnos makes a return trip between Astypalaia and Kalymnos two days a week. Take 3:30 a. m. and 12 €.
