PORT

The port itself stretches along the quays between the Faros bar and the Megisti hotel: this is where the island's liveliness is concentrated, with restaurants and cafés, the main administrative buildings and large squares, the landing stage and then the hotels in the quieter area beyond the Australian square. This is the showcase of Kastellorizo, that of the beautiful neoclassical houses with wooden balconies and colourful facades, reminiscent of the island's prosperity before the Second World War and the great migrations of the beginning of the century.
