RODINI PARK
First park in the world with a bucolic feel and faded beauty.
It is a pity that this park has lost some of its beauty: it is said to have been the first park in the world, built during the Hellenistic period, in the 4th century BC. Today it remains a relaxing place where you can stroll and walk in the cool, especially to avoid the hot summer afternoons. Bridges, waterfalls, tall trees, ducks and peacocks set the scene for a lost time. Some will deplore the lack of maintenance, and point out its somewhat gloomy sadness. Others will be enthusiastic about its bucolic side and its faded beauty.
