BEACHES AND HIKES
Hiking and discovering the beaches of Livadia, Lethra in the north and Eristos in the south.
That's one of the advantages of this island. Here you can easily go hiking with your swimsuit. The idea is to walk a little, without getting too tired, to reach the most beautiful bays. Start by venturing beyond the long pebble beach that covers the whole bay of Livadia. From there you can of course enjoy a pleasant swim with families, tourists and locals alike. A little further on, there are also a number of slightly wilder and more secluded coves.
Lethra. The bay just north of Livadia is accessible on foot via a coastal path that starts at the Ilidi Rock Hotel. It takes about 40 minutes of easy walking to get there but you can also continue by a loop to Mikro Horio which will take you back to Livadia by road. It will take you about 3 hours to walk the whole of trail no. 3. Alternatively, you can take the bus and ask the driver to stop at Mikro Horio: the path starts on your right and arrives in 40 minutes at the beautiful pebble beach of Lethra.
Eristos is a wide sandy bay located on the south coast, at the end of a large fertile valley below the village Megalo Horio. It is a 30 minute walk from the village and double from Livadia or take the bus. It is the most beautiful beach of Tilos, largely shaded by large tamarisk trees. Wild camping is practiced there. You will find a few tavernas and snack bars on the beach
