MIKRO HORIO
Medieval village with ruined houses and a church that hosts festivals.
Tilos was home to two medieval villages: Megalo and Mikro Horio. The latter emptied of its 1,000 inhabitants at the end of the last war: since 1974, the village has been completely abandoned. We visit the ruins of gutted houses where life seems to have escaped after a disaster. Gradually, nature has regained its rights, and today many birds nest here. Only the large church is maintained in good condition and there are still festivals on some occasions. In summer, the Mikro Horio bar welcomes the island's partygoers in a magical setting.
