Go there with your eyes closed: you will be seated in one of the most charming squares in Greece. Despina is known for its traditional mezzés, neglected by tourist restaurants. Let yourself be tempted by tomatoes stuffed with nuts and raisins, tomatokeftedes (tomato balls with herbs), tiropitakia (cheese balls) and melitzanopilafo (eggplant with rice). You can also taste the souma (dry fig alcohol). But not everything is à la carte and you have to let yourself be guided by the daily specials in complete confidence.
