Lesbos has two ports: that of Mytilène, the capital, where the bulk of the ships arrive and leave, and that of Sigri, at the western end of the island, where only two ferries a week.
Athens-Lesbos. In summer, the port of Mytilène is connected at least twice a day to Pirée (9 p. m.).
Connections with the other islands. From Mytilène, there are connections for Chios, Lemnos, Syros, Samos, Mykonos, Ikaria, Thessaloniki and Kavala. The port of Sigri is connected to Thessaloniki, Chios, Samos, Kalimnos, Kos and Rhodes.
Links with Turkey. The port of Mytilène is connected once a day to the Turkish town of Ayvalık (1 hour 40).
