OLD AND NEW ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Archaeological museum with steles, votive statuettes and mosaics of the villa of Menander.
This beautiful museum is divided into two wings: the old museum (currently closed to the visit) is located in an elegant house of the early twentieth century, while the new museum dates from the 1990s and details the life in Lesbos between the third century BC and the fourth century AD. Do not miss the beautiful mosaics of the Roman villa of Menander. We also see votive statuettes discovered on the sanctuary of Demeter and steles with representations of funeral meals.
