MOLYVOS INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL

The classical music festival of Molyvos (Methymne or Mithymna, on the island of Lesbos) is held every year in August, since 2015. During one week, Greek and international musicians perform in the exceptional setting of the castle. Young musicians or soloists of international reputation meet around a theme that changes every year: in 2022, the program was inspired by theOdyssey, while it revolved around the theme of freedom the year before. It is certainly the best classical music festival in the region, and one of the most renowned in the country.
