PAWN CASTLE
This Renaissance castle is home to a collection of furniture exhibited with antique objects of daily life.
Begun around 1550, construction of the Renaissance château stopped around 1610. Originally intended to be very large, it was an unfinished edifice that Charlotte de Chazeron passed on to the Chabannes family on her marriage. A slide show retraces its history. Furniture and antiques are on display. An exhibition on Pionsat's heritage is also on display. Ask at the Mairie for opening times. For forty years, during the last week of July, the château has been the setting for the Musicales de Pionsat.
