It was here, in the olive groves overlooking Plomari, that Isidoros Arvanitis created the ouzo we know today, in 1894. The historical distillery has opened its doors to the public: you will discover the manufacturing process of this aniseed-flavored liquor, emblematic of Lesbos and Plomari. You will see the distillation room and the traditional stills, as well as the more modern bottling methods. The guided tour ends with a tasting and of course you can leave with precious bottles, sold in the store.
