LA GROTTE DE PYTHAGORE
The legend says that the mathematician would have taken refuge in this cave to escape the tyrant Polycrates. The road that leaves the village becomes a narrow track at the end: the driving is not easy and leads to a small parking lot where a café is installed. From there, it is necessary to climb more than 300 steps to the entrance of the cave, guarded by the astonishing chapel Panaghia Sarandaskaliotisa (XIth century). Ropes allow to reach asecond cave: the whole being not really secured, be careful and put on good shoes.
