Monastery built in the 13th century, renovated, with a small museum and a chapel.
The monastery of St Andrew, or Agios Andreas, was probably built in the 13th century before being rebuilt in 1639. The monastery, like the whole island, suffered the 1953 earthquake, but could be renovated. You can visit a small museum (for only 3 euros) very interesting where icons from all the churches on the island were collected after the earthquake. And above all you must visit the chapel inside the monastery enclosure.
