This is the local curiosity, located southwest of the church of Myrtidiotissa in Mavros Vrachos. According to the legend, in 1619, a certain captain Kasimatis escaped a violent storm, saved by Saint Nicholas, the protector of sailors. He promised to dedicate a chapel to him if he made it out alive. He landed safely on the shore and used his cargo - wine - to mix it with the rock and build the chapel. Hence the name "Krasas": wine.
