PORT
The island has three ports: Vathi (the main), Karlovassi and Pythagorio. Samos is a good starting point for the discovery of all small unknown islands such as Supplied, Agathonisi, Arki and Thimena.
Athens-Samos. During the summer, at least one ferry per day connects Samos from Piraeus with Hellenic Seaways. In general, ships from Athens are serving the Ports of Karlovassi and Vathi (9 hours of crossing).
Links with other islands. With Ikaria, Naxos, Paros, Provided, Mykonos, Syros, Chios, Lesbos and Limnos. Vathi is also connected with Thessaloniki and Kavala on the continent.
Links with Turkey. Since Vathi, in summer, two ships perform daily rotation (morning and evening) with the Turkish port of Kusadasi (1 hour 15), located 85 km south of Izmir.
