The winegrowers' cooperative of Samos is a powerful and well-structured organization: viticulture is a central issue for the island, which produces some of the best wines in Greece, including its famous sweet wines. At the exit of Vathi, at the international landing stage, the museum explains the production process and the history of wine on the island. The interesting tour ends with a tasting of four Samos wines - which you can buy at the store. Guided tours provide a more complete overview of the local viticulture.
