Museum near the town hall with an important collection of statues and objects from Samos
The museum is located near the town hall. The collections are divided into two buildings, including the Paschalion with its beautiful neoclassical architecture. The museum gathers mainly the archaeological finds of the site of the Heraion including treasures of the archaic period (in the new building): beyond a magnificent collection of ivories, bronzes and potteries, the masterpiece is undoubtedly the kouros of more than 5 meters high. This marble statue of a young man was discovered on the Sacred Way of the Herion.
