CAP DOUKATO
Cap, a 70 m high promontory, located at the southwestern tip of the island.
Cape Doukanto is located at the southwestern tip of the island, at the end of a long road that is now paved. You will recognize it by its 14-meter high tower. According to the ancient author Menander, Sappho, the Greek poetess who lived in the 7th and 6th centuries BC, threw herself off the cliff of Lefkada to free herself from her passion for Phaon. The 70 m high promontory offers a breathtaking view of Cephalonia, Ithaca and the sea. A magical place but be careful not to fall!
