Islands accessible by caique near beautiful beaches.
You can swim from the islets of Aghios Nikolaos and Panaghia, in Gaios, and the islet of Mogonissi, in the very south of the island, opposite Porto Sputza. All three islands are accessible by boat. The ideal way, if there are still available rentals, is to go around the island by boat. There are also beautiful beaches on the west coast, in the bay of Argilas, near the villages of Bogdanatika and Vellianitakia. But the best are in Longos and Lakka. It is better to leave early in the morning because a light sea breeze usually gets up around 1pm.
