KOUTSI WINDMILL
Picturesque windmill on a hill covered with olive trees.
How picturesque it is! Lost on a hill covered with olive trees, the windmill of Koutsi is no longer used. One could even say that it has been abandoned, like the 16 other windmills on the island which were used to grind wheat seeds and make flour. The first windmills on the island were built in the 1700s. But the site is still worth a visit. It's a question of viewpoint: from the promontory where the Koutsi windmill is located, you have an impressive panoramic view!
