MONTPEYROUX ABBEY
Former abbey of Montpeyroux with remains of the Romanesque church, housing a municipal space open for rent.
Listed as a historical monument since 2000, this former Cistercian abbey was built in the 12th century. Here, architecture enthusiasts will enjoy admiring the stone work. Beneath its present castle-like appearance lies a true Cistercian foundation of the region. The abbey has been renovated several times and has recently been turned into a retirement home and a holiday centre for children. Today, it houses a municipal space open for rent. On the left side of the building remain the remains of the Romanesque church. Near the building, an admirable minaret completes the picture of this atypical site.
