The plus of this tavern: its pretty courtyard filled with flowers in a stone house, a haven of peace in the middle of summer! The dishes are quite classic, with grilled dishes, Greek cooked dishes such as moussaka, fried squid, beef dumplings? On weekends and some summer evenings, a musician comes to sing traditional island tunes. A change of scenery!

On the spot, the service is remarkable. Let the waiters guide you if you have any doubts. Or, as we did, let them choose for you what you like!

Skartsofoli has to be one of the nicest restaurants I have been to in Greece! We were there on a Tuesday night which is when they have live greek music, creating a lovely atmosphere. The staff were so welcoming from the beginning. The complimentary toasted bread and tomato was delicious. We were both going to be boring and order chicken souvlaki but then the waiter Kostas explained to us some other dishes which were just amazing and we would not have got if he hadn’t. Thank you so much :)

This is the best place we have tried during our stay in Zakhyntos. Beautifully situated. The service is just amazing. Kostas welcomed us with open heart, explained everything from the menu and recommended great choices. After few minutes we had wine and delicious bread on the table. Food was mind-blowing, very big portions as well. Stuffed pepper and baked feta cheese are just wonderful! George, who cooks and owns the place was so friendly to us, sat down and talked with us and other guests, checking if we are happy with everything. You can really feel that these people care about your experience and you can feel welcomed from the very first moment. Must try it out!!!

It was a pleasure to eat in this place. I really recommend this restaurant - amazing dishes, good proces, nice staff - helpfull with choosing dishes (Kostas is great person). You can feel vibes of Greece. What is more? The owner who is also a cook - making sure that they are taken care of.

Binnenkomst hartelijk ontvangen, uitleg gegeven over de niet standaard menu's. Eigenaar komt langs om een praatje te maken. We kregen alle tijd om te genieten van onze gerechten. Heerlijke local wijn. Op en top restaurant om hier te gaan eten. Echt Grieks!! Smaakvolle gerechten. Ervaar het zelf!!
