The northeastern region of Skopelos is accessible from Glossa by secondary roads that are sometimes a bit difficult but passable with a class A rental car. However, you will have to drive slowly on the many curves and unpaved areas. Another warning: these beaches are windy and the waves can be impressive, but they are not supervised. So be careful when swimming, especially with children.
Spilia. Just before reaching the Agios Ioannis chapel (see above), look for the small white church of Panagia. You can park under its trees and take the nice path down to the creek of Spilia. The descent is easy and fast (15 minutes) to reach this protected bay, with its cool caves.
Perivoliou. Before entering Glossa, a narrow side road leads to the far north, via the touching monastery of Taxiarques (17th century). It winds endlessly towards the windy beach of Perivoliou, located at the bottom of beautiful cliffs. There is a pleasant little snack bar hidden under large cedar trees carved by the elements, and a few deckchairs are available on the main bay.
Aggeletou. From the parking lot of Perivoliou, a footpath goes down the cliffs to reach this wild beach, with powerful waves. The walk is easy, count 10 minutes.
Chondrogiorgi. On a dirt road that can be walked slowly, this rocky beach is protected from the wind. Ideal for snorkeling.
