To the mainland, Aegean (aegeanair.com) connects Skyros to Athens. Otherwise, Sky Express (www.skyexpress.gr) offers summer flights to and from Skiathos and Thessaloniki. There are 2 to 4 connections per week with Athens (40 min), 3 with Skiathos (35 min) and 3 with Thessaloniki (45 min).
The airport is about 10 km from the city. Some parts of the Aegean Sea are served by a bus, but you will normally have to take a taxi or rent a car. As a last resort, a car rental office, Pegasus, is open during flight arrival times.
