ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH
An opportunity to visit the church of Randan dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries, with its paintings and choir windows.
The construction of the church of Randan dates back to the 15th and 16th centuries. It was then enlarged and refurbished between 1843 and 1845, on the initiative of Adélaïde d'Orléans, sister of Louis-Philippe. The latter was living in the Randan estate. Her brother donated the choir's stained glass windows from the Manufacture de Sèvres. One can admire paintings by Michel Corneille(The Presentation in the Temple, 1740) and by Jean-Baptiste Frédéric Desmarais(Christ and the Canaanite Woman, 1784).
