Owned by the same owners as Hotel Josef, the Maximilian is simpler and more intimate than its older brother, but just as luxurious. It has also been completely renovated by the Czech designer Eva Jiřicna. A hotel that reflects its situation: it is difficult to do better. Excellent service and ideal location, a few minutes from the Old Town Square, opposite the Haštalská Church. However, the rooms are quiet and the atmosphere very warm. A very recommendable brewery and a luxurious spa complete the package.

The hotel is close to Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, the Astronomical Clock and Wenceslas Square. It offers 71 recently renovated rooms in two historic 19th-century buildings. Choose from several room categories, including Mini, Balcony Mini, Superior, Twin Superior, De Luxe, De Luxe with church view, Balcony De Luxe and Suite with church view. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, TV, safe, hairdryer and well-stocked minibar. The hotel also features a bar offering a wide selection of organic wines, handcrafted cocktails and a variety of fresh charcuterie. You can also enjoy an exceptional gastronomic experience in the hotel's brasserie. During your stay, a spa center is at your disposal to offer you moments of relaxation. El bar de abajo y el desayuno no he probado, por lo que no puntuo
Why this hotel is the best:
- location in the heart of old town
- underground parking €30 per night
- Very dog friendly, we were allowed to bring our little boi, the hotel had a bowl for him, a bed and a towel which was great. You can also take your dog for a quick walk around the corner there is a dog friendly small park.
- cafe downstairs to pick a nice cup of coffee when you’re up or purchase the breakfast which we have not tried.
- The room was spotless, had all the amenities, was very comfortable and it was nice and quiet with really good insulation, it didn’t feel we were in the heart of town and had a good night sleep.
- The staff was super friendly and welcoming.
- Price was great value
