Prague's Crowne Plaza was built (in 1996) in what had been the Army Hotel since 1953. Hence its Soviet architecture, of which it is a rare vestige in Prague. This is its great originality and its main asset. The building is reminiscent of Warsaw's Palace of Culture or Bucharest's House of the Free Press. At the top, the star is still there, but in green. The style is repeated inside: large reception halls, monumental staircases, frescoes and more. The transformation is a real success. Comfort is up to expectations. Its location between the university and the embassy district is not exactly convenient for tourists. But the center is easily accessible by cab or public transport.

Navštívili jsme restauraci v přízemí. Je zde k dispozici venkovní posezení s petanqovym hřištěm a trávníkem.

It could be better for a four star hotel. Staff at the reception should be a little bit more careful of customers. Good quality of food and nice staff at the restaurant. Good quality of breakfast

Es ist schon etwas älter aber sehr gut erhalten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Durch die Tram vor der Tür ist man sehr schnell bei fast allen Sehenswürdigkeiten.
