MUSEO DE LA NATURALEZA Y EL HOMBRE
Museum with the most important collection of objects and remains of the Guanche, temporary exhibitions of quality
Housed in the neoclassical former civil hospital, this museum boasts the largest collection of Guanche artefacts and relics, including mummies, alongside that of the Museo Canario de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. You'll also find information on the botany, fauna and flora of the Canary Islands, studied by a number of naturalists in the 18th and 19th centuries, including Darwin and Humboldt. Multimedia installations explaining climate, geology and volcanic phenomena, and high-quality temporary exhibitions. Very interesting and instructive.
