NUESTRA SEÑORA DE LA PEÑA DE FRANCIA
Early church hosts numerous classical music concerts at weekends
It's an early 17th-century building with three naves separated by columns in the Tuscan-Roman style. Like all the island's typical churches, the interior is framed in very dark wood. The Canary balconies on the façade were removed during a 19th-century renovation. The door is dominated by a tower. Inside, you can admire a great artistic legacy, the image of God's omnipotence and the pulpit paintings by artist Manuel de La Cruz. Many remarkable sculptures of saints, dating from the 18th century, are still present. Numerous classical music concerts are held in the church at weekends.
