Small carpet museum recently opened in La Orotava with some preserved pieces
Located next to the Casa de Los Balcones, this carpet museum exhibits the flower carpets and especially the colourful volcanic sand carpets of the Teide, made during the Corpus Christi festival and laid out in front of the Town Hall. Particularly impressive by their size and graphic research. If you don't have the chance to attend this festival, you can always visit this recently opened small museum to admire some of the pieces kept here and learn more about the design and manufacturing processes of this ephemeral art.
