CASA DEL TURISTA
House with a handicraft store with a nice garden and a mini-reproduction of impressive carpets
Opposite the Casa de Los Balcones is another example of Canarian architecture. This casa is housed in the former Molina convent, built in the late 16th century by Francisco de Molina y López de las Doblas. Note the Renaissance-style facade, with some Plateresque elements. The place also boasts a large terrace-mirador offering lovely views over the surrounding area of La Orotava. As for the store, it has lost some of its stock after being closed for some time, but you can still find locally-made items.
