REFUGE ALTAVISTA

It is really a very beautiful experience to go to the dawn to the top of mount Teide. However, do not expect a " refuge" how is served know them, entertaining! It is closed all day and guard comes to open between 5 and 6:00 the evening! A room is open in the afternoon to wait (but it is not heated: not top winter). The morning everyone must be fiesta at 7:00... the guard closes then the gates... the brochure presenting indicates that you can leave your luggage time to go up in the morning Teide, except that 8:00, the guard case bags outside... (unless you go very early in 5:00 for example, you will not have returned yet a 8:00!). The brochure also speak hot drinks on sale: and not, there are small bottles of water, sodas and others a 3rd in a machine! The water is reported including not drinkable, but you can make it heat (there is even an electric kettle). And on the other hand, there are 2 computers reign in the cuisine at your disposal, plus WI-FI... (on condition that paying of course). In dormitories (very large), the duvets are not very hot for winter (and there is more).
Do not forget to register on access, because the refuge is most of the time, that allows you to see the period low or high (24€ these days), to the cable car at the same time if you wish (book on access allows you to queue).
