SAN MARCO CHURCH
Large 5-aisle church with a small museum of sacred art with altarpieces, paintings and sculptures
Built in the first half of the 16th century in the Canarian Colonial style, this large, all-white church has five naves. Three are separated by columns and the other two by side chapels. On the outside, you'll appreciate the stone-cut bell tower and the intricately carved facade, as well as a beautiful Renaissance portal. Inside, note the magnificent silver cross, altarpieces, paintings and sculptures, including San Marcos Evangelista and La Virgen de los Reyes. The church also houses a small museum of sacred art.
