Cliffs between 500 and 800 m of altitude, nicknamed the walls of hell, with a spectacular view
It is a wall of basalt rock that rises between 500 and 800 m above sea level and gives rise to a spectacular view. From below, from a small boat you feel tiny in front of this immense rock wall and you understand that in the time of the guanches, these cliffs were nicknamed the walls of hell. For the aborigines thought the world was ending there, on the edge of the precipice. Some barrancos, such as the one at Masca and other ravines break the line of this block. Visible from below, diagonal and vertical striations bear witness to their volcanic origin.
