HOLY BASILICA
The Saint-Amable Basilica offers a booklet in enlarged characters and a model facilitating the visit of the visually impaired.
The chapel built by the priest Amable in the5th century was replaced at the end of the 12th century by a Romanesque building of which the nave remains today. The gothic chevet with an ambulatory was built in the 13th century. In the 18th century, the cloister was demolished and the architect Dijon built the classical style façade. A shrine contains the relics of Saint Amable, whose legend tells of his powers over demons, snakes and fires. The woodwork dates from 1687. A booklet in large print and a model make the visit easier for the visually impaired.
