This Gothic Languedoc church was built in the century from Volvic stone.
It was built in 14th-century Volvic stone in the Languedoc Gothic style. Remodeled in the 19th century by Aymon Mallay, the neo-Gothic portal and south tower were built. The overmantel features a copy of the early 15th-century original Vierge à l'Oiseau (Virgin and Bird), recalling the legend that Jesus, still a child, gave life to clay birds as he modeled them. The church is also home to a 13th-14th-century black Madonna.

Eglise gothique célèbre pour sa Vierge Sculptée
L'église est célèbre pour sa très belle Vierge à l'oiseau du 14ème siècle , jadis en façade. Aujourd'hui une copie à l'identique remplace l'original qui est gardé à L'intérieur.

L'église Notre Dame du Marthuret est assez simple, bien intégrée dans la ville qu'on peut presque passer devant sans la remarquer. Elle est assez simple, mais on retrouve quelques jolis vitraux à l'intérieur.

Église malheureusement en assez mauvaise état, qui est en cours de rénovation. L'agencement de l’hôtel à l’intérieur est très particulier !
