Every Saturday morning, one of the largest weekly markets in the Puy-de-Dôme region unfolds in the town. It's animated by around a hundred producers and traders. The stalls feature fresh, high-quality produce from local producers: fruit, vegetables, fish, charcuterie... But also clothes and curios of all kinds. Its picturesque character and reputation are enhanced by the presence of small producers on the central square. This commercial effervescence is the origin of Riom's name, taken from Ricomagus, meaning "rich market"!

La Halle de Riom, qui accueille le marché le samedi est un joli bâtiment. A l'intérieur, il n'y a pas beaucoup d'espace, mais on retrouve de nombreux commerçants et tous les produits nécessaires : poissons, viandes, pain, charcuterie, fromage, fruits et légumes.

La halle, entièrement restaurée, est un lieu chaleureux et convivial où se côtoie maraîchers, bouchers, poissonniers et traiteurs de tout horizon. Un clin d'oeil au petit café extrêmement charmant et où les amateurs de thés sont les bienvenus !
