The domaine, created in 1999, has a 7-hectare vineyard spread over 3 crus around Clermont-Ferrand. The wines produced are mainly Côtes d'Auvergne, but there are also some IGP Puy de Dôme wines. The estate is run using organic methods and offers some 15 different cuvées, made from grape varieties such as Gamay d'Auvergne, Gamay Beaujolais, Pinot noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot, Gamaret, Sauvignon and Viognier. Benoît Montel is passionate about experimentation, and offers a range of original wine-ageing options, such as ageing in sulfite-free amphorae, in barrels in Lake Pavin, or in bottles in oyster beds in the Mediterranean. The domaine also offers a delivery service.
