PARADOR DE TURISMO ^{* * * *}

This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful hotels on the island. Perched on a 70 m high hill in the hills above San Sebastián, at the end of the winding road leading from the Church of La Asunción, the parador is a collection of buildings and tropical gardens that follow the coastline. It offers superb views of the town, the ocean and, on a clear day, the peak of Mount Teide. Although recently built, the hotel respects traditional Canarian architecture with its white stone walls, tiled roofs and pine balconies. The 60 rooms and suites are spacious, comfortable and refined (air conditioning, minibar, telephone, satellite TV, safe), with balconies or mini-gardens depending on the floor. If you want a superb view of Mount Teide, opt for the junior suites. Its plus points, if any were needed, are the swimming pool and the many nooks and crannies in the gardens where you can take full advantage of the view. The parador also boasts a gourmet restaurant serving international and local cuisine, El Conde de Niebla, and an elegant bar.
