Each year, the Columbus Days are intended to celebrate the stay and departure of Christopher Columbus for the Americas. This commemoration is a set of events ranging from pictorial with highlighting the works of a painter to conferences focused on the Genoese navigator or topics related to the island of La Gomera, all accompanied by music. But the highlight of the show is the regatta from Huelva (mainland Spain) to San Sebastián de La Gomera: these two stops were historically those of Columbus in his time.
