MUSEO ARQUEOLÓGICO BENAHOARITA
Museum named after the Quanche tribe and which exhibits a testimony of the pre-Hispanic aboriginal civilization
This recent museum, named after the Guanche tribe living on the island of La Palma at the time of the conquest, exhibits a testimony of the pre-Hispanic aboriginal civilization. One of the most important of the archipelago, with more than 200 rock engravings identified throughout the island. Impressive because it is arranged on three levels, only one of which concerns the museum itself. The other plan is more concerned with temporary exhibitions and research from recent archaeological excavations.
