This 1,120-metre-high Tajogaite volcano on the Cumbre Vieja ridge is the latest addition to the Canary Islands volcano family.

It is the last born of the Canary Islands volcanoes. Located in the municipality of El Paso, on the ridge of Cumbre Vieja, it was born by the eruption that began on September 19, 2021 and will have lasted 85 days, the longest of the island, the third for the archipelago. It culminates at 1,120 meters and includes 6 craters. On the website you will find all the updated information about its observation: maps of the affected and closed areas; viewpoints for views by cab, bus, or car; activities offered (guided tours) by accredited companies.
