Large aquarium near the port in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with more than 350 species

Planned since 2015, this large aquarium finally opened its doors on January 8, 2018. Located not far from the port, it hosts a total of more than 350 species: fish, amphibians, reptiles and marine flora, all in an area of 12,700 m², organized into three thematic areas: the jungle, "reef" and "deep ocean". The latter is a bit like the highlight of the visit since it has a curved window that gives a feeling of being immersed in the sea. Young and old lovers of the marine world will be able to discover the paddlefish, the electric eel, the Goliath fish, crocodiles, lemurs, four-eyed fish, jellyfish, scorpions, great black piranhas, pig-nosed turtles, black-tipped sharks and the famous clownfish that inspired Nemo. As the list is long, expect two and a half hours of visits.
