CANARIO GARDEN
Garden with different natural environments offering an excellent introduction to the native species of these islands
This garden is dedicated to native species and offers an excellent introduction to the flora of these islands. The garden covers both an arid slope and the much wetter and greener bottom of the Guiniguada barranco, restoring different natural environments. You will find candelabra, sempervivum, dragon, palm, pine, laurel and cactus euphorbia, especially prickly pear covered with white scale deposits. The main entrance to the Jardín Canario is located at the bottom, on the small road from La Calzeda to Santa Brígida, which you will reach by turning right at the end of the eight-lane road. You can also start the tour from the top of the garden, where the restaurant is located, on the road to San Mateo. This is the way to enter if you come by bus from Las Palmas, taking care to make your intentions clear to the driver. Allow half a day for the visit.
