CASTILLO DE SAN BUENAVENTURA
Castle-fortress classified as a property of cultural interest, near the Caleta de Fuste pier
Located near the quay of Caleta de Fuste, this fortress castle dating from the 18th century was declared a property of cultural interest in 1949. Until its construction, there was no defence of this coast of Fuerteventura. To remedy this, it was built at the same time as the Tostón fortress, near El Cotillo. Its function was to protect the bay of Caleta. It was restored in 2013 by the Cabildo and the town hall. It is accessed by a small iron staircase.
