The third weekend of September is a true religious feast that brings together thousands of people. For three days, the road between Antigua and Pájara is blocked in order to leave the pilgrims who leave on the route de Vega de Palma where the statue of the Virgin de La Peña is located. This statue was stolen by pirates later in a cellar of the old monastery of Betancuria by the monks. Since then, all the inhabitants of the island have come to celebrate this finding. Concert, dance and performances animate this festival.
