Mirador Morro Velosa on the road between La Oliva and Betancuria suggesting a free entrance to the geographical center of the island
On the road between La Oliva and Betancuria there are many mills that draw the brackish water from the wells. Before arriving in Betancuria, you can stop at the Morro Velosa viewpoint, the road indicated on the left, a free entrance that was designed in the geographical centre of the island by César Manrique. Located at 700 m high, at the top of the Montaña Tegú, it is a large elegant building with a tiled roof in the same colour as the landscape. There is a spectacular view of the centre and north of the island and a stop for coffee.
