ARBORETUM DE ROYAT
A park in Royat with over 600 species of trees, equipped with exercise equipment: beam, pull-up bar...
Facing the Puy de Dôme, the Arboretum covers 41 hectares and features over 600 species of trees. The forest was originally planted in the 19th century to protect the soil from erosion. Between the 1930s and 1950s, new species were introduced on an experimental basis, such as Oregon pine and Douglas fir. Situated below the Charade golf course, it's a lovely destination for a stroll. For the more sporty, the walk is littered with exercise workshops: beams, parallel bars... Picnic tables allow you to regain your strength.
