CENTRO DE ARTE, CONVENTO DE SANTO DOMINGO
Former convent with an old church transformed into an exhibition hall with an original altarpiece
An interesting visit without making a detour. Like the convent of San Francisco, also present in Teguise, this old convent is a good example of the Canary Islands religious architecture of the 16th and 17th centuries. Founded in the 18th century on the foundations of a 17th-century church, it is extended on its left side by a space now occupied by the town hall. At present, its former church has been converted into an exhibition hall, but its original altarpiece can still be seen.

Le style est épuré mais à visiter quand même surtout pour faire une halte dans ce village paisible.
